My journey as a health practitioner started back in 1996 when I moved to the UK from Greece to begin my studies in nutrition. I graduated with a BSc from Oxford Brooks University in Nutrition and Food Science and went on to do an MSc in Sports Nutrition at the London Metropolitan University.
Inspired by narratives in botanical medicine, I decided to complement my nutritional practice with the addition of herbal medicine. So I went on to gain a First Class Honours BSc in Western Herbal Medicine from Westminster University. During my herbal studies I completed 600 hours of clinical experience, where I had the opportunity to observe a variety of chronic and complex conditions, both at the University of Westminster Polyclinic and at Whipps Cross Hospital London (Dermatology department).
Since then I have developed a special interest in working with males and females experiencing fertility problems and other hormonal issues including menopause. I am also focusing on supporting people suffering from chronic fatigue and digestive issues.
I am passionate about educating and empowering people to seek better health through balanced nutrition and use of herbs in their everyday life. I run seasonal hands-on herbal workshops and I am one of the directors of the distance learning herbal course “Discovering Herbal Medicine”.
I am a member of the College of Practitioners of Phytotherapy and the Association for Nutrition. I am fully insured and subject to a strict code of conduct. I regularly attend seminars and conferences to continue my professional development and stay updated with new research.
